A word from our Director
The Lord is GOOD! Minister Anderson will have a word for us this week. We are so looking forward to it! Along with a more current picture.
We are the phenomenal women of the City of Refuge Church. Under the dynamic leadership and obedience of our Pastors. The mentality of the woman has transcended the t ypical perceptions. Everyday we grow to learn more and more about God's unconditional love for us, while accepting the challenge to serve Him, while His bountiful blessings unfold. We are more than beautiful beings, we are walking spirits for Christ where our beauty, intellect, and love is shown from the inside as well as the outside.

Women's Fellowship
Tea and Fellowship
What a way to start a weekend. Some of our ladies had a blessed time fellowshiping with our Pastor. We were welcomed into Special Teas on 5 Main St. We stepped back in time, with a beautiful table, blessed women, wonderful hostesses, a gentlemanly server, and delightful spots of tea. We smiled and celebrated being women of God. Let us come together and fellowship with the body. We need to do this on a regular basis.
Self-Defense Ladies?
Another successful women's self-defense clinic! We're slowly getting the lady's of the city involved. If you missed the first two clinics, there will be plenty more to join. We need to practice and to add to what we've already learned. We may have one clinic a quarter for first timers, and one a quarter for the others to build on.
We have Lots to Do!
The City of Refuge has a job to do in this community. The new year means new jobs for our members and new community out reach programs. After school tutoring and taekwondo are only two of the things starting in January. We need dedicated prayerful volunteers.
Why comfortable shoes?
There's lots to do at the City of Refuge. God's House has a job for you. We were all given talents that we're not supposed to bury. So get your comfortable shoes on ladies because we're about to be very busy. By the way... Do you know who's feet these are?
Event Information
Want to know what God has in store for the women of The City of Refuge come to our monthly meeting every fourth Saturday morning. It's not all about the women though. We at the City stick together in support of the other departments. Several of our beautiful sisters enjoyed the day out supporting the youth department during spring break. We know how to have fun, awhile enjoying our children.
A wife of noble character who can find?...She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy...Give her the reward she has earned and let he works bring her praise at the city gate. Pr 31:10-31
A New Year's Coming!
What will you be doing different? God has called us all to do a work. Have you heard your call? Do you know how to answer it? It's time to learn how to listen and answer God! If you don't do the job God has for you, who will? God made women both strong and gentle for a reason. We can't do it alone though. He blessed us to be able to fellowship with both the young and the old. We're here for one another to lend strength, courage, faith, love, guidance, and vision. Together ladies we can grow to be the women of God He intended us to be. A new year's coming. Where will it find us?
Let's Get Together!
At the ladies tea we talked about a lot of things. From what brought us to the City of Refuge, to things we've never done before. You know what we learned. There's so much we've never seen or done. Things that are good joyous and uplifting. We all have something we've always wanted to do but was afraid. Some things are better shared and we didn't think we had a sister to share it with. Face it Sisters some things a man would never appreciate. What we learned is if you always wanted to do it, so does someone else, or they've already done it and would love to share the experience again. Do you know how blessed you feel seeing an event with new eyes? Sharing a first with a sister makes you remember how blessed you really are. Let's share some experiences sisters. Share your talents and experiences with your sisters in the City! While we shout how GOOD GOD IS!!!
