We are mobilizing Christians for personal evangelism... So pray with us for both the unbelievers and the workers of the fields for the harvest is plentiful
Our pastors teaches us to be the same in season and out of season. They are the same people whether they're in the church, in public, or at home. They set the example for our members that service God is a joy. That the word "christian" doesn't mean boring, or unreachable. They have hobbies, love to laugh, and the love of God helps them to love each other more and more every day. They don't ask of the members anything they're not willing to do themselves. The City of Refuge is so Blessed to have leaders such as these. Did you know Pastor Johnny loves sailing?
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13).
Has something or someone got you discouraged, down and defeated? Start believing that you can, and stop believing you can’t. Start saying that you can and stop saying you can’t.
Problems without doubt come to all people, including Christians (Job 5:7). Paul knew what it meant to go through hard times, as he was harassed and persecuted even imprisoned and beaten with rods and stoned for expressing his faith in Jesus Christ. He faced sleepless nights and often suffered from hunger as a result of making great sacrifices for the preaching of the gospel. (2Cor. 11:23-27). Paul didn’t give up as a result of such pressures but went through and pressed on; for the sake of the gospel.
Paul did not see his difficulties as a burden; rather, he thought of it as a sign that he was privileged to suffer for Christ, who also suffered and endured great affliction for him.
”God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1).
Paul rejoiced in Christ’s enablement. He knew divine strength was made perfect through human weakness (2 Cor.12:9). Paul’s strength came from his union with Christ.
Reflecting on the life of Paul reminds us that we are not the only ones who are going through hard times. Just like Paul and others in the Bible, found their strength in Christ to overcome the world, we too, can overcome anything that the world throws at us if we would but invite Jesus Christ to empower us with His strength.
Knowing the words of the prophet gives us strength according to (Is. 54:17); “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD”.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13).
God Bless,
