Minister Jerry Davis
Is The City of Refuge Minister of Music. This young man of God is blessed indeed. Jerry is the music teacher in three schools in Sumter district 2. He's also a member of the Sumter Community Symphony. He is the Men's Director, co-Young Adults director, minister of music, and gospel steppers director, and loving husband. So when he says you're never too busy to serve God is this community, he truly means it. Jerry glorifies God in all he does. He recently gave honor and thanks to God for some major blessings. He thanks God for the gifts his recieved these last two years. His car, his job, his new home, and the biggest gift- his wife, Victoria.
Men step up cause there's work to be done. God's blessings are all around you!
Men Take Your Place
Do you realize there is a place and job for all of us? Men you are called to take your place. You are meant to be leaders in our community. The City of Refuge is moving onward and upward. Have you taken your place yet?

Getting Our House in Order
Getting ready for the new year means making some changes. It's time to get our house in order. The City of Refuge has a job to do in this community. So men if you don't know what your job is, ask someone! There's plenty of work to do. So roll up your sleeves and jump into the fire. Let God turn you into pure GOLD as you service Him through serving the community.
Don't Foget "Watch Night Service"! New Year's Eve 10pm be here or be square. Help us bring in the new year celebrating God!

Though they are fishers of men some times it's a blessing to fellowship while just plain fishing

Calling All Men!

Being Men of God doesn't just mean fellowshiping and taking care of our church and it's members, but stepping up and helping the community around us. We can't claim to love as God loves and not reach out to those in need. Pastor Johnny sets the example by being the first one there readying to work. While our brothers follow suit to build a ramp for a lady down the street from our church. May God be blessed!

Where's OUR Fellowship?!

There is a mighty ministry coming to Sumter and the City of Refuge. To be ready we need to be both wise and strong, loving but real. Are you ready to be Mighty Men?

Take Back Our Children

No parent can imagine having to cope with the lose of their own child. How many parents have cried? How many dreams destroyed? How many funerals have we witnessed because of drive-bys and other senseless deaths. It's time to rise up with the full armor of God and take back God's city. Dust off your walking shoes, Wear out your knees in prayer, study your Bibles, and bring the Word and God's love to our neighbors. God wants His children back! Go get them.
